I actually believe that Kakuzu is the best. He is basically immortal, can apply all the changes in chakra form, and he is just that cool. He couldnt be killed by either Kakashi, Shikimaru, Choji, and Ino. Combined. Not until Naruto came in did he suck. And that because he was already down like 2 hearts.
But I guess they are all good. But Kakuzu is where it is.

Oh yeah I forgot. Deidara is really REALLY good cause he defeated the Kazekage with a bunch of exploding clay art! AND, he came THIS close to ending Sasuke's life right then and there. And even NEARLY defeating the Sharingan is a huge thing 2 talk about. Not only that, but he's a really good tactitian, and can get himself out of tight situations. (Reference battle vs. Sasuke). So I'm stuck with Madara/Tobi, Pain, and Deidara.

Ok. Well Masashi pretty much evened out the playing field with all the abilities the Akatsuki have, yet there are some domanent players in the house. [ahem] (Madara & Pain) Since Madara has the really cool ability to bend every bit of space around him, and Pain has THE FORCE, (and awesome heat seeking missiles that just rock out hard) I would go for both of these 2. Right now I'll just sit back and see what happens after this.

Pain, no contest. The rinnegan is the most powerful justsu around. Imagine if you had six dummies, one had Mangekyo, Byakugan, or any kekkei genkai. Pain doesn't live up to his full potential as most powerful ninja ever.

That's a really hard question, but i'm gonna have to go with itachi and zetsu.
I chose Itachi becuase the only one who could have (and did) kill him would be Sasuke. I chose Zetsu too becuase you don't really know his power and he's mysterious and he eats bodies. This is just my opinion and you don't have to agree with it.

WHOA!!!! this is soooooo Itachi people! :3 I not trying to offend other peoples choices for this thing, but c'mon! this guy can out rank any of the other akastuki members with his mangekyo sharingan. but, you have to be sort of a naruto freak to notice... in some cases, yes, other members have real stuff up their sleves. but, to me, comparing itachi to them is really not nessesary, itachi has the guts and sharingan to win! Yeah, I already posted a comment but I thought I should get it through your thick heads!!! Deidara is the coolest and he even took down Gaara. Now that takes skill! I used to be obssed with Gaara but now its Deidara, I have over 20 pictures on him in my room including like two of Itachi. I have respect for all of them but none of the rest of the Akatsuki members are as cool as Deidara. So get it through your thick head! Deidara is and will always be the best!!! Kisame easy. Don't get me wrong, Konan's paper skin is beyond detection and all, and Tobi's invincibility is a great protection. But even Itachi's Mangekyo Sharingan doesn't absord demonic energy and transform from there. Amaterasu is awesome but between all his Chakra and the Samehada Shark Skin, Kisame has the COOLEST powers. Not the best, but the coolest.

I would say kazuku cause he fought the 1 hokage and survived and hecan divide his body into element then he can transform into a squirmycreature.Although Hidan is immortal and he can kill you whenever hewants if he get your blood and into the ritual circle.

The best Akatsuki member is always going to be Hidan-san!!! He issoooo awsome and hot!!! Hes my fav character! i think Zetsu has the best abilities! he can record events he sees in his mind, teleport anywhere, split himself it two (separate his 2 half's) and they can act individually, and he make leech-life clones! next to Pein, he's the best!

I think Konan has the best ability, the way she turns into paper to use oragami based jutsu. After her, I think Pain has some pretty awesome powers too.

which akatsuki member huh?? well i think i'll choose pain, with his ability to control six individual pains at once and have so many other ability's. that and he kills naruto's mentor jiraiya. he's trouble with a capital T!!!!!

i think it a tie 4 me i think pain because theres 6 of them they each have an awsom ability sasory because he never sleps hase awsom abilitys has a awsom df puppet puppets are cool and he almost emortal hidan becouse his curs and emortality on people itachi because of his tykoyomi and amatsaru (black fier) and deidra cus his clay
