Gai can kill him with one hit.. he's extremely powerful.. he smashes through stone walls with a swing of his foot. One blow would crack the bones in the area of impact.. and probably smash every organ under the bones. I think Gai has this. None of Kakashi's ninjutsu could defeat Gai. And his taijutsu is weaker then Gai's, and genjutsu is out of the question since he hasn't shown any improvment from the D-rank he used on Sakura.

Gai can speed blitz this, I don't see Kakashi even being able to land a hit on Gai with any ninjutsu, or taijutsu.

MS takes prep time, and is too inaccurate to hit someone with the speed Gai obtains.

thats hard 4 me to imagine the great kakashi not landing a single blow on gai..

Is this a thread about top speed of each character or who would win in a fight?

If it's base on speed Gai wins this one. In base Gai is as fast or faster than Kakashi. With Gates open Kakashi is left in the dust.

If it's a battle your talking about I think it would be a brutal battle but I think Gai would be able to come out on top.

Even with Kakashi having the sharingan I say in melee combat Gai has the advantage because that's his speciality. All he has ever shown is taijutsu.

Mid to long range fighting Kakashi has the offensive advantage but Gai's speed would allow him to dodge everything we've seen Kakashi do.

The biggest thing i see coming into play for Kakashi is his strategy and use of misdirection with clones. These usually end up getting him the battle opening he needs to come out on top. The problem is Gai has been training with Kakashi for years. He knows Kakashi's strategy and his taijutsu style actually is a counter for it. Gai's hits knock the opponent away from him with the impacts so any clone that is a trap is away from Gai when it goes off and Gai knows not to stand around to find out if it was the real Kakashi or not he'd keep moving and make sure it was the real one before letting his guard down.

kakashi would need to pull out his jutsu bag...kisame cranked guy in 6 gates by just overpowering him with jutsu...granted kakashi doesnt have that kind of chakra but if he opens his gates and starts flinging elemental justsu to defend the speed hes got a good chance of winning.

Kisame didn't do anything to Gai while he was in 6th gate except die. From what we've seen Kakashi do he can only open the first gate and that's not going to come close to Gai's speed in 6th.

i meant tanked not cranked. i thought kakashi could go 3rd or 4th gate from when hes climbing that cliff to go train sasuke...

this would be a huge fight and kakashi been in a whole lot of them even thole it looks like he dont have a chance he all ways find a way to win...
